Jill Stuart Spring 2012 – New York Fashion Week
18. September 2011
So lovely and delicate was the Jill Stuart Spring 2012 collection shown at New York Fashion Week. Seems like we were in the fairytale world where we can find baby blues, blush pinks, or light lemon yellows are utterly pretty and chic, adding girlishness and romanticism, while oozing daintiness and femininity.
This collection allures its viewers due to the loveable designs and hypnotic soft, funky and candy colors. At Jill Stuart, you will find the keywords of those beautiful creations are pastels. Mesmerizing shades of blue, green, pale pink and yellow looked extremely fresh. The fabrics and cute details also used to make a plus on these designs. “I wanted it to look like a dream, a fantasy, a fairy tale,” Jill Stuart said after the show.
Airy silhouettes and soft textures walked down on the fashion week’s catwalk creating inspiring ensembles. “I like flirty dresses that are refreshing but with an awareness of the past. I prefer dresses that reflect the movies I love like Valley of the Dolls and Belle de Jour,” the designer told In Style. The latest Jill Stuart collection for Spring 2012 featured a plethora of young, cute candy and fun dropped waist and pleated dresses. Jill Stuart also showed little suits, jackets, patchwork blazers, chic short, smart, while those high heeled- shoes are perfectly combined with the playful designs.
