Superstar Skier Lindsay Vonn Files Divorce Against Husband
30. November 2011
American superstar skier Lindsay Vonn has filed divorce proceeding to end his four-year marriage with husband and chief adviser Thomas Vonn.
Vonn is reportedly preparing the necessary documents to dissolve her marriage with Thomas Vonn. The decision of Vonn to separate from her husband is a huge shock to their family and her fans.
This developed after the two are seen very much in love with each other as he stood beside her when she won the Olympic golf medal and three World Cup titles. Based on internet facts the former couple tied the knot in September 29,2007.
According to reports, the real reason behind the looming separation had not been bared but speculations arose that the end of the marriage is due to family conflict. Vonn’s marriage with her husband reportedly caused a conflict with Vonn’s father because of the nine-year age difference between the two.
Earlier, Thomas replaced Lindsay’s father as coach and mentor when they got married. The skier is very sad with her current personal problem and hoped the media and her fans will give her a much needed privacy as she deals with the situation.
Vonn has won three consecutive overall World Cup and downhill championships (2008, 2009, 2010),the first American woman and third woman ever to accomplish this. Vonn has also won the gold medal in downhill at the 2010 Winter Olympics, the first ever in the event for an American woman. She has won three consecutive World Cup season titles in Super G (the first American woman to do so), and two consecutive titles in the combined.
