Lorax Remains Top Grossing Film In North America

The animated film The Lorax successfully beaten other movies to win the weekend box office race in North American cinemas for the second straight weeks.
According to reports, The Lorax earned $38.8 million last week to win the competition against other quality films being shown in theaters. Taking the second spot in the tight race is sci-fi film John Carter which earned a modest $30.2 million the past week.
John Carter produced by Disney on the whopping budget of $250 million budget is based on Edgar Rice Burroughs’ tales of the Mars adventurer. The third slot in the tight race went to Warner Brothers Project X which earned $11.1 million last week. With its successful earning the past week, the producers of Lorax hoped moviegoers will continue to watch the film on all its screenings not only in North America but around the world as well.
