‘Hunger Games’ Wins Weekend Box Office Race In North America

The producers and actors of the film Hunger Games are happy souls these days.
This developed after the film became the highest earning film in North America for the past two weeks. Sources said last week Hunger Games earned $61.1 million to win the tight race for top grossing film in the United States and Canada.
According to reports, as of the moment the film already earned $251 million on its domestic release. The runner-up honor went to Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures, 3D action pic Wrath of the Titans which earned $34.2 million.
The third place honor went to Snow White tale Mirror Mirror, which stars Julia Roberts, Lily Collins and Armie Hammer. The Relativity Film produced Mirror Mirror grossed $19 million to take the third spot in the race. With its strong showing te past two weeks, the people behind Hunger Games hoped the movie will once again reign the box office race this week.
