Vintage Hand Grenade Found On Easter Egg Hunting Event
10. April 2012
A happy Easter Egg Hunting event almost turned tragic and bloody in London.
This developed after a vintage hand grenade used in World War 2 was found by a three-year-old boy in Holford Wood, West Somerset. According to reports, the boy and his family and friends were participating in an Easter egg-hunting activity when he stumbled upon the egg-shaped hand grenade.
Stuart Moffatt, the father of the boy immidiately called up the bomb squad to take care of the grenade. The bomb squad immediately responded and safely detonated the bomb.
The hand grenade was discovered in the area since during World War it is used to be an Army base. The boy and his family were very grateful that the bomb did not explode which could have caused huge damage in the area.
