Those people who love to chew chewing gums better limit their intake on such product or end up being obese.
A recent medical study has shown that eating chewing gums could lead to weight gain or obesity. The researchers explained that people who chew gum eat more high calorie sweet foods. The researchers added that this due to the fact that the chemical responsible for the minty flavour of gum makes savoury foods, especially fruit and vegetables, taste unpleasant.
Based on the same study, the researchers also found out that people who chew gum tend to eat fewer meals but that this does not translate to fewer calories. Medical advocates for their part called on people addicted to chewing gums to limit their intake on that kind of food or abandon it totally for the sake of their health. Read more »
