To avoid possible injuries, Honda Motor Company has decided to order the recall of some 962,000 cars around the world to fix its power windows and computer system.
According to reports, the leading car manufacturing company based in Japan ordered the recall of 936,000 units of the Fit subcompact, CR-V crossover and Fit Aria in North America, Asia, Europe and Africa. It was learned that The Fit is called Jazz in some overseas markets, while the Fit Aria is also known as City.
The company also said they it is ordering the recall of another 26,000 CR-Z compact hybrids globally due to programming problems with the engine control unit. Honda has been the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer since 1959, as well as the world’s largest manufacturer of internal combustion engines measured by volume, producing more than 14 million internal combustion engines each year.
Honda surpassed Nissan in 2001 to become the second-largest Japanese automobile manufacturer. As of August 2008, Honda surpassed Chrysler as the fourth largest automobile manufacturer in the United States. Honda is the sixth largest automobile manufacturer in the world.
