A reckless driver is set to spend five-years behind bars for driving a motorcycle boarded by his three-year-old son without driver’s license in Manchester, United Kingdom.

The court found Ryan Ward guilty of putting the life of his minor son in danger because of his reckless action by driving his vehicle without driver’s license and helmet. Judge Martin Rudland said what Ward did is very dangerous to his child since both driver and passenger had no helmet and were driving at high speed.

Aided by his lawyer, Ward admitted his crime and apologized to the court for his act. The prosecution panel for their part said the accused was very reckless and did not even bother to stop when being chased by the police.

The police said the action of Ward and some other motorists had become a headache to the police. The police hoped the conviction of Ward will serve as lesson to drivers to always follow traffic rules especially if they are accompanied by minors.
