One dog just found a new lease of life after its heartless owner buried it for 40 hours before the animal was rescued by residents in Delsenzano, Italy.
The dog named Jerry, a Brittany spaniel is now recovering at an animal rescue center after its owner left it to die below two-feet of earth and bricks. The residents said they hear the dog whimpering which drove them to rescue it from his sad situation.
The police said the sadistic owner of the dog even piled layer upon layer of earth on top of the dog to make sure he could not dig his way out. Charges of animal cruelty had already been filed against the owner of the dog for what he did to his pet animal.

Animal rights advocates said what they owner did is sickening since pets are supposed to be loved and taken cared off and not be abandoned and left to die. If found guilty to the crime, the owner is set to lose the right to own a pet again. The owner of this lucky dog is one sick individual since burying alive any animal is not an act of a human but beastly act that deserve severe punishment from law!
