Hennessey’s 2013 Drop Top Venom GT Spyder

Hennessey has announced the release of an open-air vehicle to replace their 1,200 hp Venom GT supercar. Dubbed the Venom GT Sypder, the car is expected to be launched in 2013.
The Texan based Hennessey Engineering Company has structured the Venom GT Spyder to incorporate an easily-removable hardtop. “With the hardtop in place, the Venom GT offers a very visceral, raw, driving experience. With the hardtop removed, the wind and the growl of the twin turbo V-8 will offer our clients an even greater driving sensation,” explained Don Goldman; Hennessey’s CEO.
The 1200 hp roofless car is expected to achieve 275 mph speeds and will comprise of a lightweight carbon fiber body weighing in at 1200 kilograms. The car will also spot carbon fiber wheels.
There are already two orders for the Venom GT Syper which is expected to retail at $1.1 million.
