One of the rising stars in the National Basketball Association said the continued lockout could be solely blamed on the team owners and not on players.
Chicago Bulls superstar point-guard Derrick Rose said if only the NBA team owners listen to the appeal of the players for a better pay the lockout could have been solved now. Rose said if the owners want to end the lockout they should learn to listen to the players.
The 23-year-old point-guard said at the moment he continuing his practise to become an even more better player once the lockout ends. He revealed that he and the rest of the players are very sad with the continued lockout but he is optimistic the impasse could end soon.
Rose had a great year the past NBA season as he led the youth laden Bulls to an impressive 62 regular season wins. He played for the University of Memphis Tigers and reached the NCAA national championship game in 2008.
Shortly after, Rose declared for the 2008 NBA Draft and was selected first overall by the Chicago Bulls. In his first year of professional basketball, Rose was voted the Rookie of the Year and was selected to the All-Rookie Team.
In his second season, Rose was selected as an NBA All-Star for the 2010 NBA All-Star Game; he was also named a starter for the U.S. team at the 2010 FIBA World Championships. Since being drafted, Rose has led the Bulls to the NBA Playoffs every year.
In 2011, he received the NBA Most Valuable Player Award, becoming the youngest player ever to win this award. He joined Michael Jordan as the only Chicago Bulls players to win the honor.
