Celtics veteran power-forward Kevin Garnett revealed to the media that he is not keen on joining the Los Angeles Clippers in a potential trade. Garnett said he will not lift the no-trade clause in his contract just to facilitate his trade to the Clippers this year.
He revealed that when he signed his three-year, $36 million extension with the Celtics in the off-season he had no intention of leaving the team since he wanted to retire as a member of the Celtics. The NBA superstar added that Celtics coach Doc Rivers and team president Danny Ainge had not told him of a potential trade with the Clippers. The Clippers who is hoping to acquire Garnett to bolster its chances in the forthcoming NBA playoffs earlier expressed desire to send guard Eric Bledsoe and center DeAndre Jordan to Boston for Garnett.
