  • Novak Djokovic’s Hot Streak Continues; Takes 1st US Open Crown Over Nadal

    The hot-streak of Serbian tennis superstar Novak Djokovic on the professional tennis court is not about to end soon.

    Djokovic beat Spanish tennis superstar Rafael Nadal in the US Open Finals to take his first ever crown in the event and solidify further his status as the top male professional tennis player in the planet today. The Serbian tennis superstar was all business in their championship game to defeat Nadal 6-2, 6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-1 in their thrilling championship match.

    With his latest victory, Djokovic hiked his 2011 record to 64-2 including 10 tournament crowns. Djokovic is very happy with his latest feat saying his winning streak could be attributed to his positive and aggressive attitudes this year.

    He said after the 2010 professional tennis season, he realize that he had been passive with his game and made the decision to be more aggressive this year and it yielded positive results for him. According to tennis experts, Djokovic who also won the Australian Open in January, is only the sixth man in the 40-plus years of the Open era to win three major titles in a single season.

    Nadal for his part is very sad and dissapointed with his loss but credited Djokovic for his victory saying he is a unbelievable this year. Djokovic is one of only four players (David Nalbandian, Andy Murray, and Rafael Nadal being the other three) to beat Roger Federer three times in one calendar year.He is also one of four players (Nalbandian, Murray and Nikolay Davydenko being the other) to beat Federer and Nadal in the same tournament twice, accomplishing that feat when he won the 2011 Indian Wells Masters 1000 event.

    Moreover, he is also the youngest player in the Open Era to defeat the top three players in succession and he achieved this when he defeated world number three Andy Roddick, world number two Nadal, and World number one Federer in the 2007 Rogers Cup. He is one of only two players to have defeated Federer at the semifinal stage or later on more than one occasion in Grand Slam tournaments, and also at consecutive tournaments (the other being Nadal).

    Djokovic Vow To Conquer Men’s Tennis After Wimbledon Title

    The new world’s top ranked player in professional tennis for men revealed he hopes to win more titles this year after his morale boosting victory in the recently concluded Wimbledon Men’s championship.

    Serbian tennis superstar Novak Djokovic said he will train even more harder this year so that he can get more professional tennis crowns and solidify further his status as the king of men’ tennis today. Djokovic earlier became a global sensation after he beat former world number one professional tennis player for men and Spanish superstar Rafael Nadal in the Finals of the Wimbledon this year 6-4, 6-1, 1-6, 6-3.

    In their championship match-up, Djokovic showed the world why is boss in men’s tennis today as he showed his incredible movement and precise shot placement to topple the favored Nadal. What is remarkable is the fact the victory is the fifth time Djokovic Nadal in the Finals.

    With his win Djokovic’s record rose to an impressive 48-1 record this year that includes the Wimbledon tennis crown and Australian Open title. Djokovic was very happy with his win and hoped he can continue his success for the rest of the year and many more years to come.

    Nadal for his part is sad with his loss but congratulated Djokovic for his huge win. Professional tennis experts said if ever Djokovic can continue his superb tennis play there is a big chance he will win all the forthcoming big tennis tournaments this year.

    In his impressive professional tennis career, Djokovic has won three Grand Slam singles titles, the 2008 and 2011 Australian Open championships and the 2011 Wimbledon Championships, becoming the first player representing Serbia to win a Grand Slam singles title and the youngest player in the open era to have reached the semi-finals of all four Grand Slam events, separately and consecutively.
