There is a chance, new mother Beyonce will become the next judge of the widely popular reality television singing contest on its second season this year. X-Factor judge and producer Simon Cowell has reportedly offered Beyonce $100m per year to appear as one of the judges in his show.

Cowell reportedly made the offer, since Beyonce is one of the most popular stars today, who could improve further the ratings of his hit television program. The room for a new judge in the show, opened after Cowell earlier fired two of the judges of the show last year Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.

The widely popular British talent judge and television producer made the tough decision to fire Abdul, a personal friend and Scherzinger since the two were not that effective as a judge on the said show. With the huge offer and publicity that the show can bring her, Cowell is hopeful Beyonce will accept the role as judge of X-Factor this year.

American singing superstar Lady Gaga has 101 reasons to smile these days.

Gaga is declared the highest earning female singer for 2011 by the prestigious online and print luxury magazine Forbes.com. The American singing superstar reportedly earned $90 million income this year to top the list.

According to reports, a big part of the income was taken from the estimated $1.3 million nightly gross ticket sales from her concert tour. Landing as runner-up in the list is American singing sweetheart Taylor Swift who earned $45 million, majority of whom from her hit album “Speak Now”, perfume line, and other deals.

The third place goes to American singing star Katy Perry who earned a close $44 million.

Also making the list were Beyonce who earned $35 million, mostly because of her relatively small amount of touring this year.

R&B star Rihanna also made it to the top 5, after earning an estimated $29 million from sales of her album “Loud”, and endorsements from cosmetics company CoverGirl.

Lady Gaga came to prominence following the release of her debut studio album The Fame (2008), which was a critical and commercial success and achieved international popularity with the singles “Just Dance” and “Poker Face”. The album reached number one on the record charts of six countries, topped the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart while simultaneously peaking at number two on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States and accomplished positions within the top ten worldwide.

Achieving similar worldwide success, The Fame Monster (2009), its follow-up, produced a further two global chart-topping singles “Bad Romance” and “Telephone” and allowed her to embark on her second global concert tour, The Monster Ball Tour, just months after having finished her first, The Fame Ball Tour. According to reports, Adele is recovering well after her recent successful throat surgery. It was learned that Adele undertook microsurgery in Boston to treat a benign polyp on her vocal cords.

The 23-year-old British singing star is currently resting after her surgery and could soon go back to her singing career. It can be recalled that due to her throat ailment, Adele, who is a rising star in both United States and Britain was forced to cancel a series of concerts to the dismay of her fans.

Country Singing Star Keith Urban Will Undergo Throat Surgery

Here is a piece of bad news to the countless fans of Australian country singing star Keith Urban.

The singer and husband of Nicole Kidman is set to undergo a throat surgery later this month to get a polyp on his vocal chord. Paul Freundlich, Urban’s publicist said the fans and supporters of the singer had nothing to worry since the surgery will just be a minor medical operation.

Freundlich said the operation will require complete vocal rest followed by an indefinite period of recuperation. With the latest turn of events on the life of Urban, the singer has decided to postpone his “All For The Hall” concert to benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The concert for a cause is originally scheduled on January 18. Urban was born in New Zealand and began his career in Australia at an early age.

In 1991, he released a self-titled debut album, and charted four singles in Australia before moving to the United States in 1992. Eventually, Urban found work as a session guitarist before starting a band known as The Ranch, which recorded one studio album on Capitol Records and charted two singles on the Billboard country charts.

Moon River Singer Andy Williams Has Bladder Cancer

The family of veteran 83-year-old American singer Andy Williams are now in a lonely mood.

This developed after the singer, more popularly known as the voice behind the hit song “Moon River” has been diagnosed with bladder cancer. According to reports, Williams who is also known for his hit song Can’t Take My Eyes Of You is now undergoing a three-week court chemotherapy course in Houston, Texas to treat his deadly ailment.

With his medical condition, Williams is expected to miss his scheduled event later this year in Branson, Missouri, the home of his Moon River Theatre. Based on data from the internet, cancer has invaded the lining of the singer’s bladder, but doctors weren’t sure yet whether it had spread to other parts of his body.’

To treat his sickness, Williams and his wife Debbie Haas is set to relocate to a rental home in Malibu, California, so he can undergo treatment in Los Angeles. Williams’ solo career began in 1953. The fans of the legendary singer are now hoping for his speedy recovery.
