    A number of pets around the world are suffering from bad diets that made them susceptible to sickness and death.

    A study made by some of the top veterinarians around the world has shown that some of the dogs cats and rabbits are being fed ‘potentially life-threatening’ fatty foods which can lead to arthritis, diabetes and heart disease. The veterinarians said these diet made many of the pets obese which makes life difficult for these animals since they could not enjoy their usual routine of walking and playing.

    The veterinary charity PDSA revealed that an estimated 18.5 million pets are fed inappropriate diets, some 13.5 million animals are ‘treated’ to fatty or sugary treats and junk food. The animals experts said many pets die early because of wrong diet and obesity. The experts said to make pets happy and live longer, the owners should make sure they eat the right kind of foods and live a healthy lifestyle. Read more »

    The love affair between the world’s tallest teenage girl and her boyfriend continues to prosper further despite their huge height difference. According to reports, the romantic relationship of Elisany da Cruz Silva, 17, who measures an unbelievable 6ft 8in tall and her boyfriend 5ft 4 Francinaldo da Silva Carvalho, 22 continue to blossom.

    Sources said despite their height difference the two continue to love and care for each other. Silva, from Salinopolis in Brazil, is very tall since she is suffering from a form of gigantism because of a tumour on her pituitary gland, which regulates growth. To save her life, doctors have already removed the tumour.

    Experts Says Children Growing Up Fast Due To Modern World

    Instead of enjoying their childhood, child experts said children are growing up fast these days because of the vast influence of our modern today.

    The experts said because of early testing in school, advertising, bad childcare and a reliance on computer games and television children are growing up fast instead of enjoying first their childhood. To put a stop to this bad scenario, some 200 teachers, academics, authors, charity leaders and other experts have written a letter calling for a drive to ‘interrupt the erosion of childhood’.

    Three of the prominent members of this group were novelist Philip Pullman, Oxford University neuroscientist Baroness Susan Greenfield, and Lord Layard, emeritus professor of economics at the London School of Economics. The group lamented that instead of playing outside for them to appreciate life more and live healthy, children today are contented on spending time indoors playing or watching screen-based technology.

    The group said the time is now for governments around the world to do something to stop children from growing up fast due to the modern life so that the younger generation can appreciate and learn about life more. They called for actions to ensure that children will play outdoor and connect to nature by banning of all forms of marketing directed at children up to at least age seven.

    They said the government must act now to stop children being poisoned by the modern world. Moreover, the group said growing up is a natural process and modern technology should not be allowed to fast tract the growth of children since it offers many dangers to the young people especially with regards to their future.
